Collection: Cycling from Ohiya

Ohiya is the third highest railway station in Sri Lanka and is a picturesque rural village located within proximity to the Horton Plains National Park. The beauty of the area is breathtaking and one way to explore some of these wonders in by cycle. The cycling trail that Lakpura offers covers the well known Devil’s Staircase which is a road that drops down 3600 feet in less than 12km. This marvel is located approximately 8km away from the Ohiya station. This trail is known for its hairpin turns and the locations it crosses including riding along the edge of the Bambarakanda Falls which is the highest waterfall in Sri Lanka.
