Located 200 km East of Colombo, the famous town of Ella is a haven for hikers due to its high elevation, rich bio-diversity, cloud forests, tea plantations, cave networks etc. The Ella gap which gives access to views across the Southern plains of Sri lanka is one of the most well known attractions in Sri Lanka.
