Kumana National Park Entrance Tickets

(SKU: LK71260100) A less frequented park located in the Eastern sector of Yala, the Kumana National Park is a bird sanctuary making it a paradise for bird enthusiasts and nature photographers. A unique feature of this park is the famous Kumana Villu which is a 200 hectare natural swamp like lake. The mangroves surrounding the area and the swamp attracts many migratory water-birds especially during the months of April and July where they nest in perfect contentment. Regular sightings at the Kumana National Park include pelicans, spoonbills, painted storks, herons and egrets. Rare species that visit the swamp include the Black-necked Stork and the Eurasian Spoonbill.

Other than the colourful birds that gather here at Kumana, you will also encounter mammals such as elephants and leopards due to the connection of the Yala National Park. Vegetation is mainly made of mangrove trees, open marsh lands and kumbuk trees.

If you are planning on a safari to the Kumana National Park, you will need an entrance ticket to go through the gates.
