Known as coconut palm sugar or coconut blossom sugar, our Lakpura Organic Coconut Sugar Blocks is a pure Sri Lankan all-natural product. The coconut sugar comes in big pieces while it is produced using the sap of the flower bud stem of the coconut tree, which is widely grown in Sri Lankan soil, especially in the coastal areas. This lump form of coconut sugar is an organic product that is used as jaggery in local households, while it is also known as pol hakuru among Sri Lankans. It is sometimes used as an alternative for Kithul Jaggery.
Lakpura Organic Coconut Sugar Blocks is similar to the taste of brown sugar, making it delicately sweet with a hint of caramel. The coconut sugar is carefully prepared in batches while the coconut is collected from organic farmers that supply the best produce. The flavour, colour and taste, especially the sweetness, can slightly vary depending on the coconut batch, the species of coconut, and also the season the coconuts have been harvested.
