Ayurvedic Medicinal Plants of Sri Lanka

Allophylus cobbe
Allophylus cobbe also known as Kobbeka is a native plant that branches a lot and grows like a bush. Because it grows in the form of a vine, it is also called Kobbe vine. Tripathi compound leaves have a delicate bud. The inflorescence is green in color at the apex of the branches. The tiny flowers are white and green in color. Flowers bloom in the months of March/May and September/October. The small green fruits turn bright red after ripening. This is a plant found only in Ceylon and India. In addition to those who use it, villagers also use kobbeza in places like ukunugas used in farming. A species of plant belonging to the Sapindaceae genus.
Kobbeka is a well-known herbal medicine in local fracture medicine. However, the leaves, stems, and bark of the kobbesa plant are used to treat diseases such as snake venom, wounds, stings, etc. To stop the bleeding in a wound, an old treatment is to crush a few leaves of kobbeka and tie them to the wound. To cut the broom of an old wound, Kobbe leaves are ground from a coconut and tied to the wound. Must be able to heal that injury. Kobbe leaf bark, Attamura leaf bark, Amukaha, Diluen have been prescribed to be applied in cases of bruises, bruises, swellings, bone marrows, etc. The bark of kobba leaves, the bark of tree branches, and the bark of divikaduru leaves are a treatment for snake venom.
